FLESH MECHANIC Absolutely smitten with this release. Sometimes you stumble upon an album that perfectly captures your mood and feelings, and Where We Live is exactly that for me. This strange symbiosis of bittersweet tones and a beautiful voice hits me with sort of a peaceful kind of melancholia, it's like knowing someone else feels the everyday shades of grey of this life and reminds you that nice things aren't lost in them. Do yourself a favor and give this a listen. Favorite track: Is This Reality.

In the world that we live You have said that I care too much Every time that we fight Let it go and see the light Baby In the world that we live We have seen things that are bad And we want to change Want to fight Want to fight But they fight back Can't stop me

In the year 1984 We were nothing more than a spore In the light we reflect nothing Empty spaces in the dark Retreat And they never knew what we would become Is it physics or love? Love, is it love? Love, is it love? Love, is it love? Love, is it love? In the year 2084 We are gone now but now we are one In the light we were nothing more Than a cell mutated to destroy Love, is it love? Love, is it love? Love, is it love? Love, is it love?

Are we in reality Who controls the world How can we escape this Who controls the simulation Are we real? Is this world real? Are we in reality Who controls the future How can we escape this Who controls the simulation Are we real? Is this world real? Do I control the simulation? Do I control the simulation? Do I control the simulation? Do I control the simulation? Do I?

about

"Harris’s sense of pop songcraft is immaculate; she knows how to use her voice, delicate but with a core of crystalline strength, to reach for melodies that are simultaneously angelic and plangent. No synth element is out of place, and her production is clear and sharp. And she never forgets that even the most minimalist dark music should have a core of romanticism."
-Bandcamp

"Drenched in reverb and driven by hypnotic breakbeat loops, expertly crafted drum samples, and dreamy synths; Born Days' dystopian and cosmic tracks mix nostalgia with anticipation."
-High Clouds

“Chicago-based producer brings the same haunting tones as Massive Attack to her latest trip-hop-inspired release.”

released October 4, 2019

"Where We Live" was recorded in my DIY studio from the winter of 2018 to the summer of 2019. I tried my best to make each song its own little world and to make sure that you can't hear the Chicago L train outside my window or the sound of my radiators kicking on in the winter. I hope you enjoy this EP and thank you for following me here. I am working on new music. <3
